Baby & Toddler Photography Sessions

There are many important events that you may want to capture during your baby’s first year. Some of our most popular sessions are scheduled around the following milestones: pushing up, sitting, crawling, standing and first birthdays. If you are interested in capturing your baby at multiple stages, then you may wish to consider a baby plan. These plans comprise two to four sessions during the first twelve to eighteen months of your baby’s life. Contact Jennifer for more information about plan options and pricing. Baby sessions usually occur in the studio. If you prefer to have your session on location, it is best to wait until they are sitting unassisted.

Toddlers are fun and full of life! They thrive when photographed on location. Incorporating a theme or prop can help them relax and get lost in their surroundings. Some great locations to photograph toddlers include shorelines, farms, and parks. Activities that can be fun to capture include eating ice cream, picking apples or pumpkins, and playing in the snow.

Baby and toddler sessions are $200 for the first hour. This fee includes time and talent in capturing beautiful photographs, as well as the pre-session consultation, photograph editing, viewing appointment, and access to your private online gallery. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book a session and schedule the pre-session consultation. The remainder of the fee is due at the time of the session. There are many beautiful locations for outdoor sessions around our region. Depending on the location and the season, there may be entrance or parking fees. Clients may pay for these on the day of the session or choose to have them added to their invoice.

Sessions may be extended by purchasing additional time in half-hour blocks at the rate of $50 per half hour. Cake Smash sessions require an additional $50 for the extra preparation and clean up. We like to provide our clients the freedom of choosing a bakery; however, there are some local favorites we are happy to recommend.

Any form of photography or image capture is prohibited during the session. The ordering appointment is usually scheduled about two weeks after your session. Your private online gallery will be available after the ordering appointment and will remain accessible for a minimum of 60 days. This gallery allows your friends and family to review the photographs and facilitates the purchase of any gift prints. The images uploaded to your gallery will be stored by Jennifer Jule Studios for one year from the date of the session. After this period the images may be deleted without notice. Longer-term storage options are available but must be arranged in advance of the one-year anniversary of the session.

Contrary to what most people think, a cloudy or overcast day provides excellent light for portraits. Decisions related to the suitability of the weather for outdoor sessions are left to the photographer. Should the decision be made to reschedule the session due to weather, we will work with you to identify a mutually agreeable makeup date. In most cases, these makeups will occur within two weeks of your original session date.

Jennifer Jule Studios is located in Waterford, Virginia and provides photography services across the Washington metropolitan area. Travel within Northern Virginia, the northern Shenandoah Valley, and the Potomac regions of Maryland and West Virginia is included with the session. This travel area includes the District of Columbia; Frederick, Montgomery, Price George’s and Washington Counties in Maryland; Jefferson County in West Virginia; and Arlington, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Page, Prince William, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Stafford, and Warren Counties in Virginia. Our standard print release accompanies the purchase of digital files, and grants the purchaser non-exclusive permission to use the file(s) for non-commercial printing, emailing, texting, sharing, and posting to social media.
