When considering a location or background for your senior portrait it’s ok to think outside the box. The perfect example is the image below of an old abandoned trailer. We found this back in the woods and it makes for a wonderful prop during this senior portrait session. Other ideas would be abandoned buildings and even graffiti.

When photographing high school seniors I often ask them to look down and smile. This creates a more artistic lifestyle portrait.
