I don’t normally post personal shoots on this page but since I am an equine photographer I figured I would share. I have been reading Misty of Chincoteague to my youngest and decided that we were going to attend the “pony swim” this year.

We were out on the beach at 3:15 am to watch the Salt Water Cowboys run the horses down the beach.

A foal and mare got loose on the dunes and the salt water cowboys brought them back to the herd.

This baby horse doesn’t know what to think of the crowds!

also got some great photos of the ponies in the corral.

I You can see the famous stallion “Riptide” the chocolate palomino.

Love how the mare is checking on her foal. This photo captures their bond.
